We get stuck sometime by buying a wrong product or when wrong product is delivered to us while shopping online. But Amazon has always been an exception while serving it’s customers. Amazon India has an exhaustive return and refund policy to help gain confidence of the buyers. But to bring to your notice like every other website not all the products are returnable and if they are they have certain return period in which they can be returned.

So now if you know that you can return your product so let’s find out how can you do that :

What items/products can be returned?

You may request returns for most items you buy from sellers listed on that are within the return window, except those that are explicitly identified as not returnable on the product detail page and/or return policy. To know about the Return window for Amazon Business orders, please visit here

Items are returnable if you’ve received them in a condition that is physically damaged, has missing parts or accessories, defective or different from its description on the product detail page on

How to return items?

Go to Your Orders to initiate a return.

Note: If you need to contact the seller for a return and the seller fails to address your query in two business days, the Amazon A-to-z Guarantee is available to you.

What are the return guidelines?

Following are the return guidelines:

  1. Your address and the item that you wish to return must be eligible for return.
  2. If the return is not eligible for Pickup, a Self-Return option will be given.
  3. Once the return is received, you will, in accordance with Refund Policy, be issued a refund to your original payment method.

For Pay on Delivery orders, refunds will be processed either to your bank account (via National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT)) or Amazon account (as Amazon Pay balance).
